Kombo now also offers data hosting in Canada

Kombo now also offers data hosting in Canada, the third region after the US and EU.

Customers choose Kombo to ship integrations they'd otherwise build and maintain themselves. But what keeps them here is often the unglamorous part: deep coverage across the systems their end customers run, dev tooling to run integrations in production, and support engineers who jump on your customers' problems.

Where data is stored belongs on that list too. When an enterprise buyer asks where their employees' data will be processed, jurisdiction is often a deciding factor in closing deals.

Today, we're excited to share that Kombo now also offers data hosting in Canada, making it the third region after the US and EU.

Overview of our Canadian region

Our Canadian region stores and processes data in Google Cloud data centers in Montréal, Québec (northamerica-northeast1).

Like our EU (Netherlands) and US (Iowa) regions, Canada is a fully isolated stack: its own database, sync workers, webhook delivery, object storage, and logs. It's not a replica or a routing layer on top of another region - all data written to the Canadian region stays exclusively there.

What that means in practice:

  • Canadian data stays in Canada: Data from your Canadian end customers is stored and processed exclusively in Montréal.
  • Nothing else changes: Same API, same connectors, same data models, same dashboard. What changes is the base URL your requests go to and where the data lives.

How to access it

Region is set per environment, not per account, so there's no second Kombo login and nothing to migrate. You can run Canadian, US, and EU environments side by side, and decide per end customer where their data should live.

If you're an existing customer: Reach out to your customer success manager to add a Canadian environment for you. Multi-region data residency is included by default on our Enterprise plan. On other plans, your CSM can walk you through the options.

If you're new to Kombo: Tell us during onboarding which region your first environment should be in.

Two practical notes:

  • Point your API requests at the Canadian base URL (api.ca.kombo.dev) for environments in that region. Your API keys, endpoints, and payloads are otherwise unchanged.
  • Our Canadian region uses its own static egress IPs. If your end customers allowlist Kombo's IPs, which is common for SFTP-based and self-hosted systems, the Canadian ranges need to be added. Find out more in our docs.

What's next

APAC is the region we hear about most after Canada, and it's next on our roadmap.

You can read more about how Kombo handles security, hosting, and data protection on our security page, or book a call if you'd like to talk through what residency in Canada would look like.
